Why do you charge diagnostic fee if we don't want to fix our computer?

Once diagnostic is completed, we send you an estimate with final cost to repair your computer. If you decide to repair, we do not charge diagnostic fee. However, if you decide not to fix your computer once diagnostic is completed, we charge diagnostic fee because our staff takes their time to figure out what is the problem in your system by using their skills and swapping old parts with new parts. Some time,  we have to purchase new parts to troubleshoot your system. At the same time, company needs to pay staff salary, rent, utility and miscellaneous overhead expenses. Your system will be diagnose by our A+ certified tech only.

Do you price match on parts and labor?

Yes; we do price match on labor charge and parts both (From Local Store Only), If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call to clearify. 

When was Windows 11 released? What are the system requirements to host it?

Do you charge a diagnostic fee for Desktops, Custom Gaming System, Laptops, Mac System, Phones, Tablets, or Server Systems?

Yes; we do charge diagnostic fee to following devices. However those fees are waived and applied toward repair charge.
  

  • General workstation or laptop: ($35 - $65 which can be applied toward repair) – Free with repair
  • Mac System: ($65 - $95 which can be applied toward repair) – Free with repair
  • Gaming desktop or laptop: ($95 without hydro-cooler) – Free with repair
  • Gaming desktop system: ($165 with hydro cooler) – Free with repair
  • Gaming desktop system: ($250 - $650 with hardline water block) – Free with repair
  • Printer: (Officejet $65 and Laser jet $95 -$150) – Free with repair
  • Phone or tablet: ($35) – Free with repair
  • Server System: ($250-$450) – Free with repair

Do you support iMAC systems?

Yes, we do provide support for both Windows and iMAC operating systems.

What kind of payment methods do you accept? If you accept credit card, do you charge extra fee?

We do accept following payment method and we do not charge extra fee.

Do you sell computer parts?

Yes, we do sell new and used parts. If you have any questions, feel free to call us.

What is your company's return policy?

Any unopened items can be returned for 24 hours (Open items are subject to a 20% restocking fee), customers have 14 days to return items for store credit , and return for repair or replacement 30 days (Product may carry standard manufacturer warranty). No refund or exchange for special order items. Any open software cannot be returned or exchanged due to copyright law.

What kind of service warranty does Heartland Computer provide?

With any service work we do at Heartland Computer we provide a worry free 90 days guarantee for similar problems. We want our customers to be happy with our service and support. If we clean your computer by removing any infections such as viruses, malware, spyware, or rootkits we give a full 90 days guarantee. If, within 90 days, your computer get infected with similar malware you don’t have to pay us a dime. We will clean your computer for free of charge. Your satisfaction is our number one priority.

Note: Our 90 days warranty is covered for the same work we have done in the past. If you are not clear about our warranty plan, please give us a call or see us at the store. 

Can Heartland Computer build gaming or custom system if we bring our own parts?

Yes, we are happy to build any gaming or custom desktop (even if  you bring your own parts). However, all warranties are from/for manufacturers only as we cannot guarantee the condition of your parts. Whereas, if you build with our parts, we will provide a one year complete warranty.

Is there any discount on service work for senior citizen, student or military veteran?

Yes; we give 15% discount on all our service work for our new customers, senior citizen, disabled, or military veteran. Please mention this ad. and take immediate 15% service discount.

Note:

  • Customer must provide ID for age verification (Senior citizen)
  • Military veteran and student also need to provide ID for verification
Does Heartland Computer provides house call or onsite call?

Yes; Heartland computer gladly provide house call or onsite call to resident or business customers in surrounding community. Heartland Computer also provide free pick up and delivery within 5 miles radios from Omaha and Council Bluffs metro center. If you can not dropped or pick up your system, don’t worry. We can dispatched our technician right on to your door step.

Does Heartland Computer provides service for resident users and business users?

Yes; we provide services to both kind of customers (ressident and business users).

How much do you charge for onsite call to resident and business customers?

When we do onsite call to resident, we charge $65 - $95 hourly and for business customer $95 - $118.50 hourly. We do charge minimum 1 hour fee for all onsite call and after hour we charge 15 minute increment. If we have to travel more than 5 miles, we charge 50 cents per mile. We also provide up to 200 miles radios onsite support and world-wide remote support to our customers for any IT related support. If travel time required more than 30 minutes, we charge $65 hourly travel time for business and resident both.

Do you provide remote support to resident or business customers? If you do, how much do you charge?

Yes; we do provide remote IT support to both business and resident customers and we charge $75 per hour for business customers with 30 minute increment. We do charge minimum $35 for remote support. For all resident users, we charge $50 hourly and $25 minimum with 15 minute increment. If you have any questions, give us a call. 

Do you provide urgent onsite IT Support to business or resident customers?

Yes; we do provide urgent IT support to both business and resident customers. We do charge $120 per hour for business users for all urgent onsite IT support. Urgent call means, we send our tech within 2 hour of advance notice. For all resident users, we charge $75 hourly.

How much do you charge to assemble gaming system?

We charge $185 - $350 (Without Hydro cooler), $350 - $475 (With Hydro cooler) and $475 and up (Hardline water block) to assemble gaming system which includes following: 

  • Assemble all hardware (Motherboard, processor, GPU, Cooler, Wifi Card, Power Supply, Memory, Hard Drive)
  • Program BIOS and update if necessory (BIOS update may required additional cost)
  • Install Operating System
  • Cable Management
  • Benchmarking Test
  • RAID configuration is not included and will required additional cost.

     
Do you charge diagnostic fee for Printers?

Yes; we do charge diagnostic fee of $65 for Inkjet/Officejet printers and $95 for Lasterjet Printer. Once diagnostic is completed, we will send you estimate cost. If customer decide to fix, we can apply diagnostic fee toward repair. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our office at 402-502-7040 or 712-256-8686. 

What is your general turn-around time for laptop, desktop, server, phone, tablet, and printer repair?

In general turn-aound time for following system:

  • Desktop System - If we do not need to order parts, we will complete our diagnostic same day and completion time usually take 24-48 hours.
  • Gaming System - If we do not need to order parts, we will complete our diagnostic 24-48 hours and completion time usually take upto 72 hours.
  • Laptop - If we do not need to order parts, we can complete our diagnostic the same day and completion time usually take 24 to 48 hours.
  • Phone and tablet - Same day diagnostic (If we have parts on hand, we will get it done same day)
  • Printer - Diagnostic may takes upto 72 hours (We can complete repair any where from 24 hour to 2 week based on parts availability)

 

What kinds of warranty do you give when you replace motherboard and screen in laptop?

When we replace motherboard and screen, we only give 30 days warranty on parts. After 30 days, if your motherboard or screen does not work, we can not guarantee because all vendor we purchase those parts only give us 30 days warranty. However we will give 90 days labor warranty. If we find out customer trying to fix themselves by opening back cover of laptop, we do not give any warranty.
